RESCHEDULE IMPROVEMENTS

Several new fields have been added to the form for rescheduling the completion due date of a locate request. These fields allow organizations to communicate their progress on large or late jobs. Logging such data and communicating with the excavator helps organizations meet compliance, avoid fines, prevent damage, and improve safety!

  • Job Status: "Started" or "Not Started". If job status is set to "Started", the five fields in the "Progress" section are required.
  • Next Visit Scheduled For: The date when the locator expects to be on site again. Required if Job Status is "Started".
  • Start Address: The address or area which the locator began locating utilities. Required if Job Status is "Started".
  • End Address: The address or area which the locator ended locating utilities. Required if Job Status is "Started".
  • Remaining Scope: The address or area which the locator has yet to locate utilities for. Required if Job Status is "Started".

CANNED NOTES

In many situations locators can find themselves typing similar notes on locate requests over and over again. Typing is time consuming, especially on mobile devices. For this reason we've introduced a feature which allows the ability to type entire sentences or paragraphs with just two clicks.

The first step in taking advantage of canned notes is to define what notes you regularly type and add those to the "CDCs" configuration of the Administration page. You can define as many canned notes as you'd like.

Once defined, these canned notes are available when completing a locate request. Simply click on the ">" button in the lower right corner of the text box and you can select which note(s) you'd like to add in a single click!

It is always possible to modify the note on a case-by-case basis after it has been added from the "Canned Notes" menu.
