Use the Productivity feature to track the item views and actions, page views, and time usage of your users. To create or modify a productivity watch, click Modify in the upper right corner of the screen or go to Productivity Analysis.
Productivity Watch
A Productivity Watch has a row for each user with columns listing the times they viewed a page or item (and any actions taken); it also lists unproductive time. The timeline (in the Actions column) shows the actions and views when they occurred.

Unproductive Time | The shading shows the period of unproductive time as defined by the unproductive time threshold, which is the percentage of time not viewing pages or items (or taking actions on them) between the first and last actions taken in a day |

Timeline
The Timeline shows actions and views per day between the start and end times. It also shows unproductive time, which is the percentage of time not viewing pages or items (or taking actions on them) between the first and last actions taken in a day.
Actions and Views on the Timeline
View the timeline to see each user's actions and items in chronological order for a given day.
- To show or hide the timeline, at the end of a user row, click Timeline
- In the timeline, put the cursor on the colored circle. Result: A window appears that shows the action/item circle in a larger (zoomed in) view
In the window, put the cursor on the item/action circle. Result: Another window appears with details:
- Time of view or action
- Name of page or action
- ID number of the ticket or item you performed the action on
- Optional. Click the ID number of the ticket or item to view it in a new browser tab or window
Search and Filter
You can search for users only in the current Productivity Watch. Use filters to find Productivity Watches.
Search
You can search for users only in the current Productivity Watch.

- On the top menu bar, click Analytics > Productivity. Result: The User Productivity page appears
- In the upper-left corner, type a search in the search box
- Click Search ( ). Result: Search results appear
- Optional. To erase the search term and results, click X.
Filter
Use filters to find Productivity Watches. Use the search to find users in Productivity Watches.
To show or hide the filters, in the upper left corner, click Filter (). Result: The Filter column appears
- In the Filter column on the left, in the Productivity Watches dropdown, choose a filter, then choose a date and the start and end time. You can only view one day at a time
- At the bottom of the Filter column, click Apply Filter. Result: The Productivity Watch appears (with Modify in the upper right corner)
Timeline Display
Use the Timeline Display to choose the actions and views that display on the timeline (The actions and views vary based on user behavior).
- On the left column, at the bottom, click Timeline Display
- On the Timeline Display window, check or uncheck the boxes to add or remove actions or views from the timeline
- Click Done
Ticket Details
Use the Details to view and download a detailed report of productivity data.
- On the upper right corner, click Details
- On the Summary of Productivity window, choose the date range of the data
- Click View Report. Result: The productivity analysis data appears in a table
In the report, you can take these actions
Action Description Find (search) Type your search term in the search box to see if it occurs in the report Page Use the arrows to move back and forward page by page Refresh Generates a new report based on the fields you chose Export (save) CSV: Comma Separated Value; a text file listing data in lines. Each line uses commas to separate fields containing data (.csv)
Data Feed: Atom Service Document (Data Service Document, Data Feed Atom file, Atom Service Document); a text file formatted as XML and used to create and update data feeds implemented with the Atom Publishing Protocol (AtomPub or APP). (.atomsvc)
Excel: Microsoft spreadsheet format (.xlsx)
MHTML: A web page archive format that stores all files needed to display an HTML page (HTML, images, Java, Flash, audio files, etc.)(.mhtml)
PDF: Portable Document Format; an Adobe file format that stores the complete description of a fixed layout document (text, images, layout, etc.)(.pdf)
PowerPoint: Microsoft presentation slide deck format (.pptx)
TIFF file: Tagged Image File Format, an image format (.tif)
Word: Microsoft word processing file format (.docx)
XML file with report data (.xml)
Modify Productivity Watch
- Use the filter to find a Productivity Watch. See Search and Filter, above
On the Productivity Watch, in the upper right corner, click Modify
Note: If there is no Modify button, click Apply Filter (in the left column) to make it appear
- See Productivity Analysis > Modify Productivity Watch to make changes
